  • Your referees' answers about your work
  • Public records for your referees and their employers, such as Companies House and domain records

We never ask for

  • Date of birth
  • Home address
  • Identity documents
  • Criminal record or health data
How long we keep it, and how to withdraw

The report and this check's record are kept for 12 months; the working data behind it for 3 months. To correct or remove what we hold about you, email privacy@prehire.ai.

You can withdraw your consent at any time until this check is finished. Your most recent email from PreHire always has a working link — use it to withdraw. If you withdraw, the check stops, your referees are not asked anything more, and no report is produced.

2. Naming a referee

Your referees

We email each referee as you add them, and ask them to confirm the employment details you gave, to describe your work in their own words, and whether they would employ you again. Each referee's answers are attributed to them and shared with Cobblestone Cafés Ltd. You are told when a referee replies, but you do not see what they wrote.

A work email lets us verify your referee. A personal address can only be recorded as unverified.
